"If this isn't nice, what is?"
— Kurt Vonnegut
Hi! I'm Rodrigo, currently a first year PhD student in Astronomy at Northwestern University, working with Prof. Jason Wang. My research interests lie at the interface of exoplanet direct imaging, instrumentation, statistics and computational imaging. My overarching goal is to develop methods that allow us to directly observe exoplanets previously impossible to detect. I use data from the most powerful ground- and space-based telescopes to search for and characterize planets around other stars, helping to understand how they form and whether they could harbor life.
